A Hearty Welcome to Stevie Dugdale

Stevie Dugdale is a current master's student at BYU studying choral conducting where he conducts the famed BYU Women’s Chorus as an interim co-director, teaches Conducting, and Group Vocal Technique for beginners. He has maintained a private voice studio for 11 years and taught students of all ages and ability levels. He has helped students get into their local community choirs, musical theater shows, professional ensembles, Cambridge University master’s program in choral conducting, and everything in between. Additionally, he has conducted several community-based ensembles including the Mountain West Voices, which he founded, and toured all over the U.S. competing in competitions. Mountain West Voices was the runner-up in the 2015 International Youth Chorus Competition of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Stevie has also conducted at dozens of churches and various ensembles throughout Utah and Missouri since 2009.

As a singer, Stevie is an active professional choral tenor and recently performed with the world-renowned Oregon Bach Festival Chorus, a month-long event that brings together early music specialists from all over the world. He has consistently performed and been a soloist with, Sound of Ages Choir and Brevitas Choir. He also conducted, sang with, and performed as a soloist with every auditioned and non-auditioned BYU choral ensemble including the BYU Singers. Additionally, Stevie has spent countless hours in recording studios recording tracks for various video games, sound libraries, choral learning tracks, backup vocals for Gentri, Tuacahn Center for the Arts, new music composition competitions, and much more.

Stevie is currently applying to Doctorate of Musical Arts programs throughout the country in hopes to further pursue a career as an academic and professional choral conductor. He is the father of three beautiful children: Maddy (8), Kenna (5), and Noah (3). His wife is an active professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer and currently performs with the Creators Dance Project, as well as teaching dance at Showcase USA studio in Lehi. Stevie and his family reside in Orem.
