Handel's Messiah with NHCO

Join Nebo Holiday Chorus & Orchestra in celebrating Christ’s birth this Holiday Season.

The Nebo Holiday Chorus & Orchestra presents one of music’s most beloved choral works in this exciting holiday production. NHCO is joined by superb soloists in our annual benefit concerts in Spanish Fork, Utah. Messiah premiered in Dublin to enormous success and has since been honored as a beloved Christmas tradition. Composed in less than a month, Handel vigorously wrote daily from dawn until dusk and blessed us with an all-time favorite.

Although Handel himself was in financial peril, he premiered Messiah in 1742 as a benefit to help inmates stuck in debtors’ prison. The benefit performance was a rousing achievement resulting in 143 debtors being released from prison. Keeping Handel’s original intent, NHCO seeks to benefit the poor, sick, and afflicted through their benefit concerts and will accept donations for PARC this season.

Come experience and embrace with us the joyous and reflective spirit of Christ’s birth through the powerful words found in the scriptures and the compelling music written by George Frideric Handel.
