Eliza Jensen
Concertmaster
was born and raised in Provo, Utah, and began playing the violin at the age of nine. She recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from Brigham Young University, where she played in the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra and served as concertmaster on several occasions. In 2020, Eliza won the Utah Valley Symphony Concerto Competition and performed as a soloist with the orchestra, and she was a finalist in the BYU Concerto Competition in both 2022 and 2023.
A certified Suzuki violin teacher, Eliza has been teaching privately for nearly ten years and now maintains a thriving studio of over forty students. In high school, she was a member of the Utah All-State Orchestra from 2016 to 2019 and grew up in a very musical family as one of nine children. In addition to teaching, Eliza performs regularly at weddings and events with her harp and violin duo, Solenne.
Outside of music, Eliza enjoys running—having completed four half marathons—and loves trying new recipes. She and her husband, Kelson, were married in April 2024 and enjoy spending time together playing pickleball, disc golf, and traveling.
Eliza is thrilled to perform this beautiful music to celebrate the Christmas season and the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
