Melinda Sligting

graduated from Brigham Young University’s cello performance program in 2022. While attending BYU, she performed as principal cellist in both the BYU Philharmonic and the BYU Chamber Orchestra. In 2021, Melinda was a finalist for the BYU concerto competition. 

Melinda has had the opportunity to travel and perform in several different locations, including the Philippines, Mexico, and Europe. 

She has been teaching for over 10 years and has a great love for her students. She enjoys seeing her students progress and gain a deep love of music. In her free time, Melinda loves spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, reading, and cooking.
